At Dan Rawes Training Services we offer a range of Ofqual regulated first aid courses, delivered in association with Nuco Training and accredited by First Aid Awards Ltd.
Choosing one of our regulated courses gives you the knowledge and confidence that what is taught is the current best practice and inline with applicable guidelines and ensures your workplace first aid training complies with HSE guidance on selection of a training provider.
We do however realise that regulated courses might not be the best fit for you or your business, so we are insured and able to create a bespoke solution that best fits your need, please get in touch if you want to discuss a bespoke first aid course.
Please note, if using unregulated qualifications it is the responsibility of the employer to ensure the training and trainer are suitable under HSE guidance.

FAA Award in First Aid at Work
(Level 3 RQF)
The flagship, 3 day, full first aid course.
Candidates will learn:
- The role and responsibilities of a first aider*
- How to assess an emergency*
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty including CPR*
- Choking casualty*
- Bleeds & minor injuries*
- What is shock and what to do about it*
- Conducting a secondary sur
FAA Award in First Aid at Work
(Level 3 RQF)
The flagship, 3 day, full first aid course.
Candidates will learn:
- The role and responsibilities of a first aider*
- How to assess an emergency*
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty including CPR*
- Choking casualty*
- Bleeds & minor injuries*
- What is shock and what to do about it*
- Conducting a secondary survey
- Injuries to bones, joints and muscles
- Head and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Eye injuries
- Poisoning
- Severe allergic reactions
- Major illnesses (heart attack, stroke, etc.)
* Candidates can be awarded a L3 certificate in emergency first aid at work if they only complete these parts

This 2 day (12 guided learning hours) course is the one we recommend for volunteer youth leaders or those leading or working around more adventurous sports and activities.
This course covers everything to be classed as a full first aid qualification by the Scouts and Guides in the UK.
